1. How do I register a domain name?
It may come as a surprise to some people, but registering a domain name is simple and enjoyable. I have several and this is the technique that I find to be the most painless. First go to nameboy and research your title. Simply enter the title you would like and nameboy will check the availibility for you. It will also give you ideas for similar names in the event yours is taken. Always go for the .com extension whenever possible. Or if feasible, you might want to run the gamut and purchase all the extensions, like .net, .org, .mobile, ect. and have them all point to your site. After you find your name, the next step is to set up a hosting account. You really don't want to wait around to do this either because 2 or three days from now, someone else might already have that domain. You also don't want to purchase your domain from anyone except the company you will have hosting your domain. The reason is that it is a serious pain to redirect your domain from the place you purchased it to the hosting site, and a totally unnecessary one at that. I made that mistake once. 3. Drastic makeover
Spent the last three days updating the bigsky cellular website. It is now more streamlined and user friendly. The entire scheme and graphics are different and I even have a new logo. In addition to the AT&T plan that I was currently offering, I now offer Verizon, Alltell, Sprint and T-Mobile. People are not willing to give up their cell phones in this economy, even though they might be losing everything else.
